Knotts Cottage is located on Bury Road,, 0.9 of a mile east of the centre of Edgworth, and 0.5 of a mile west of the Bury Road junction with the A676 Bradshaw / Bolton Road. We are approximately 5 miles from the centre of Bolton itself and easily accessible from the motorway network from all directions.

From the SOUTH & WEST - take either the M56 (Manchester Airport)/M60 or the M6/M62 and follow signs for M61 to Bolton. Take the A666 signs for Bolton and then for Blackburn. At PC World superstore turn right and follow sign for A676 to Burnley. Proceed through 2 sets of main traffic lights (Shell Garage on right at 1st and Royal Oak Pub at 2nd) and at 3rd set turn left at Jolly Crofters pub onto Bradshaw Road. Proceed for 1.8 miles and turn left at the major crossroads by the Willows restaurant onto Bury Road signposted to Edgworth. Knotts Cottage is half a mile on the right hand side.
From the NORTH - take M6/M61 signposted to Manchester. At M61 J9 / M65 J2 turn (east) onto M65 to Burnley. Exit at J5 and turn right on B6232 signposted to Hoddlesden. Proceed for 1.8 miles and turn right at Grey Mare Pub signposted to Edgworth. At crossroads in Edgworth (approximately 4 miles) turn left at White Horse Pub onto Bury Road. Knotts Cottage is approximately 0.9 of a mile on the left.
From the EAST - take M62/M66 until junction M66 L and turn left (south) onto A676 towards Ramsbottom and later Bolton. Proceed for 4.5 miles until crossroads with Willows on left turn right signposted to Edgworth. Knotts Cottage is half a mile on the right.
